Policy by Nohemi

I learned that John McCain is going to focus on U.S. health care. He is going to bring cost under control. He wants to save Medicare and Medicaid. He wants companies to compete around the world for the health care! For Education he believes we must be worthy of our promises. He understands that we are one nation! For the Environment John McCain wishes that people won't have their dream crushed under the wrong mortgage.  John McCain thinks that it is important to finance home ownership. For the  Climate çhange John McCain had decided to make water and air very clean! I will vote for John McCain!

Reflection by Darcey

I was the speech writer for our group. My role was important because if the voters don't know who the canidate is, what they're for, and how they deliver a public speech then they dont know how they would be able to be president. the most vital part of my job is pointing out the good spots of the canidate being president and how they would change the problems that we have today. It was neccesary to work with my group because I needed to know John McCain's policies from the policy writer and lots of other things from other people in my group and they need things from me.
The five things I learned were, the canidate has to have a lot of experience, speechwriting is a hard job, the canidate has to trust his team, the entire team has to stay on top of everything, and being president is a very hard job. I would describe this project to someone outside of shcool by saying "My group is John McCain's campaign team." I think this project is going to help me vote when I am old enough because I now know how to find out about the canidate.

Reflection by Alice

My role was important to the overall campaign of my canidate because people might want to know of the canidate's past, if they have a record of leadership or completely new to America's government, or they might want to know what they have done for America in past and present. The most important part of my job is writing the biography because if I make a vital mistake, if it was a real job, I'd be fired. People want to know the truth about the canidates. It was nessesary to coordinate and cooperate with your group because you have to ask nessesary questions to see if the post you are doing is clear and crisp. Five things I did not know about McCain is that he has been in the United State's Senate, has been elected twice into the United States House of Represenatives, was born and raised in Arizona, that he has 7 children and 4 grandchildren, and was in the Vietnam war. The people might want to know if he will be like a father to America and treat America like a daughter. You would describe all of the jobs and what you do in them to someone outside of school and how

Reflection By:Michelle

My role for this project was to be a speechwriter. The most important job for me to do was to put together a speech for John McCain's presidential debate.
I couldn't have done it without my group members they gave me really good ideas for my speech. It is always important to communicate with your group. We worked together and ended up with a great project!
I learned that being president is hard work and you have to stay on top of things. Your country is relying on you 24/7.
This project is pretty easy to explain to someone and it is easy for them to understand it explains the campaign at a more understandable way for younger people who can't vote yet. When children and teenagers understand the debate they will want to become more involved with the campaign process.
This project let me know more of what the candidates are talking about during their debates. I think that is great because then I can become a better voter when I get older!

Biography by Alice

John McCain has one heck of a history. He has a long record of leadership, and an unwavering life and love of service in America. McCain went to the United States Navel Academy for college, was elected into the the House of Represenatives for Arizona in 1982. After the House of Represenatives, he was elected into the United States Senate in1986. After college, he went to the Vietnam war. When a missle hit his plane, he was forced to eject, breaking both his arms and a leg. McCain was captured by the North Vietnamese, and he did not get medical treatment. After nearly five years of enslavement, he was set free. In 1982, McCain retired from the Navy. His naval awards include the Silver Star, the Bronze Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Heart, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. McCain currently has seven children and four grandchildren.

Speech By: Michelle

Good Afternoon, and Thank You for joining Governor Sarah Palin and myself. We would first like to say that change is coming to the U.S if you vote for us. America is facing many problems and we need to solve them together, just recently an economic crisis has hit the U.S if we do not solve this problem salaries for employees will go down and putting food on the table will get harder and harder for families. Our life savings will soon be at stake. The U.S needs to work together to fix this problem if we don't we will face major issues. Another reason we have come today is to recognize all the children who want to get politically involved I don't think the citizens of the U.S realize how much our children want to get involved, sure they don't realize all the problems we face but they know enough that they have a sense of what to think for each candidate so next time your child or neighbor ask you about the presidential campaign listen to them and see what they have to say it may turn out that they have really good ideas or opinions. I want America to live in peace and harmony, We want to bring back the soldiers that are risking their lives for our country in Iraq. We want to bring them back to their families and homes. God Bless the soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq that they may be resting in heaven peacefully. Today we have only mentioned a few problems but there are so many more so if you vote for us we will solve all those problems that we face. Thank You and God Bless America!
